Why should I buy a heat pump?
With an EXIT pool heat pump you can warm your pool water up to as much as 40 degrees! This lets you enjoy your pool sooner, for example when it's not (yet) very warm in spring. With a heat pump you can also extend the swimming season and still enjoy plenty of fun with your pool in the later season.
A heat pump already works when the outdoor temperature is 10° Celsius or higher. At night too, the temperature must stay above 10 degrees. If it's colder than 10 degrees, the water isn't heated and the pool water cools down. It will then naturally take longer to warm the water back up.
The heat pump converts the outside air into heat. The warmer it is outside, the more efficiently your pool water is heated. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the pump switches off. If the water temperature drops below the desired level again? Then the heat pump automatically switches back on.

My heat pump shows an error message, what can I do?
Faults with the heat pump are often the result of insufficient water flow. So check the filter of your filter pump (both for a cartridge filter pump and a sand filter pump) and clean or replace it if needed. Especially when using extra accessories such as a salt system, it's important to check and replace the filter regularly.
How much energy does a heat pump from EXIT Toys use?
With EXIT Toys heat pumps and an outdoor temperature of 26 degrees, the COP (Coefficient of Performance) can reach up to 6.5. This means that for every 1 kWh of electricity going into the pump, 6.5 kWh of heat goes into the pool. That's a heat gain of 5.5 kWh! How high the COP is differs per pump. The higher the COP of the pump, the more favourable the consumption. How much energy your heat pump exactly uses depends on many factors such as the ambient temperature, the amount of pool water, the amount of sun and wind, whether the pool is in a wooded area and whether the pool is covered after use.
Help, my heat pump is freezing! What can I do?
At the back of an EXIT Toys heat pump there's a heat exchanger, through which coolant flows. Is this frozen and does the pump show the message "Error107"? No worries! This is a sign that your pump is working hard. EXIT tip: point the back of the pump towards the sun. This helps the pump along and your pool water will be up to temperature in no time!
My heat pump is losing water. Is this normal?
Yes, a heat pump loses condensation water from the outside air. This doesn't mean your hose or heat pump is leaking.
My heat pump makes quite a lot of noise. How can I fix this?
You're probably hearing the blowing of the heat pump's fan. Quite annoying, but there's little to be done about it. It can help to turn the pump slightly, so the sound goes the other way. Check that the heat pump is on a level surface. If not, the pump can start to vibrate. In that case, shift the pump slightly onto a level surface.
Condensation water comes out of the pool heat pump, how much water is normal?
It's normal for condensation water to come out of the heat pump; this can be a puddle. The colder it is outside, the more condensation water the heat pump loses. This is because the pump then has to work harder; the coolant freezes and condensation forms here too. When you place the heat pump in a garden shed or shed, more condensation will also form.
